The Hand Project

The Hand Project originated at the beginning of the pandemic. During that time, many of us contemplated our mortality and thought about the things we cherished most. My goal was to highlight what mattered to people through images of their hands. The visual impact of seeing a person through their hands is a very intimate way to know them. We can see their soul in a way that a portrait could not express. This project has been humbling, meaningful, deeply personal and rewarding, and one that I will continue to build for years to come.
